1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 Warranty Period

All authentic SoundPEATS products purchased from soundpeatsgeorgia.com are covered by:

12-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY from date of purchase

This matches the official SoundPEATS manufacturer warranty and complies with Georgian consumer protection standards.

IMPORTANT – Battery Warranty Period:

  • Earbuds/Headphones: 12 months full warranty
  • Batteries and Charging Cases: 6 months warranty (standard industry practice for battery-powered components)

1.2 Personal Use Only

This warranty applies to PERSONAL USE ONLY.

Commercial/Business Use VOIDS Warranty:

  • ❌ Use in cafes, offices, rental services
  • ❌ Heavy-duty commercial applications
  • ❌ Resale or rental purposes
  • ❌ Any use exceeding normal consumer usage patterns

If you are a business customer, contact us for separate commercial warranty terms.

1.3 What is Covered

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use:

Manufacturing Defects

  • Product fails to power on
  • Defective buttons or controls
  • Loose or separated parts (not due to impact)
  • Assembly defects

Battery Issues (Normal Use – First 6 Months Only)

  • Battery fails to charge
  • Battery depletes abnormally fast (within first months)
  • Charging case malfunction
  • NOTE: Battery degradation from fast charging (>20W chargers) is NOT covered
  • NOTE: Normal battery degradation over time is NOT covered after 6 months

Audio Quality Problems

  • No sound output
  • Crackling, popping, or distortion (not due to volume abuse)
  • One earbud not working
  • Microphone failure

Bluetooth Connectivity

  • Pairing failures
  • Connection drops (not due to distance/obstacles)
  • Bluetooth module defects

Charging Issues

  • Charging ports defective
  • Charging case won’t charge earbuds (within 6 months)
  • LED indicators malfunction

Software/Firmware Defects

  • Factory firmware bugs (not user error)
  • Update failures due to product defect

2. What is NOT Covered

This warranty does NOT cover:

Serial Number Issues

  • Serial number removed, altered, or made unreadable
  • IMEI code damaged or scratched off
  • Product identification stickers removed
  • WARRANTY VOID if serial number cannot be verified

Accessories and Consumables

  • Ear tips (silicone or foam)
  • Ear hooks or stabilizers
  • USB charging cables (unless defective on arrival)
  • Packaging, boxes, or carrying cases
  • User manuals or documentation
  • NOTE: Only the earbuds/headphones themselves are covered. Accessories are consumable items.

Charging Case Physical Damage

  • Scratches, dents, or cracks on charging case
  • Hinge damage from drops
  • Lid damage or closure issues (unless defective)
  • NOTE: Charging case FUNCTION is covered (won’t charge), but physical damage is NOT

Physical Damage

  • Drops, impacts, crushing
  • Cracks, broken parts, shattered cases
  • Bent or deformed components

Liquid Damage

  • Water immersion (unless IP-rated for immersion)
  • Sweat damage beyond normal exercise use
  • Chemical spills
  • NOTE: “Water-resistant” does NOT mean “waterproof”

Misuse and Abuse

  • Excessive volume causing speaker damage
  • Fast charging (>20W) causing battery degradation
  • Using incompatible chargers
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Using while swimming/showering (unless rated for it)

Wear and Tear

  • Ear tip deterioration
  • Cosmetic scratches and scuffs
  • Fading or discoloration from UV exposure
  • Cable fraying (normal use)

Unauthorized Modifications

  • Opening the product casing
  • Attempting DIY repairs
  • Firmware modifications/hacking
  • Removing or altering serial numbers

Lost or Stolen Products

  • Warranty does not cover theft or loss
  • Single lost earbud (must purchase replacement)

Compatibility Issues

  • Works fine but not compatible with your specific device
  • Codec/audio format limitations
  • Bluetooth version incompatibilities

User Preferences

  • Sound signature (too much/little bass, etc.)
  • Fit and comfort (personal preference)
  • Loudness (within normal specifications)

3. How to Claim Warranty

Shipping Costs – Who Pays:

  • Customer pays shipping TO us (unless defect discovered within first 6 months)
  • We pay return shipping if warranty claim approved and product repaired/replaced
  • Customer pays both ways if warranty claim denied (non-defect issue)

Georgian Law Protection (First 6 Months):
Under Georgian Consumer Rights Protection Law, if a defect is discovered within 6 months of purchase, it is legally presumed the defect existed at time of delivery. Therefore:

  • 0-6 months: We cover shipping both ways (presumed our responsibility)
  • 6-12 months: Customer pays shipping to us, we pay return shipping if approved

Step 5: Inspection and Resolution

Once we receive your product:

  • Verification of defect
  • Resolution within timeframe below

Repair Timeline:

  • 15 working days if replacement parts available locally in Georgia
  • 30 working days if parts must be ordered internationally from SoundPEATS
  • We will inform you which timeline applies within 3 business days

Step 6: Resolution Options

We will (at our discretion):

Option A: Repair

  • Fix the defect if possible
  • Return repaired product to you
  • We pay return shipping

Option B: Replacement

  • Send you a new/refurbished unit of same model
  • If model discontinued: Equivalent or better model
  • We pay shipping
  • IMPORTANT: Only defective unit replaced, NOT all accessories

Option C: Partial Refund

  • If you agree to keep defective unit
  • Refund amount negotiated based on issue severity

Option D: Full Refund

  • If repair/replacement impossible
  • If product fails multiple times (same defect after 2 repairs)
  • Refund to original payment method

4. Warranty Conditions

4.3 Warranty Transfer

Warranty is NON-TRANSFERABLE. Only the original purchaser can claim warranty.

If you gift the product to someone:

  • You must transfer proof of purchase to them
  • They must contact us with your order details
  • Warranty remains valid but tied to original purchase date

4.4 Warranty Renewal

Warranty does NOT reset or extend after:

  • Repair or replacement
  • Partial refunds
  • Product exchanges

Original warranty period continues from original purchase date.

4.5 Product Inspection Right

5. Georgian Consumer Law Protection
